Morning preparatory work

My morning preparatory work is filled with suggestions that have the same message: to let our Father have His way with me. ‘Be still, and know that I am God.’ ‘I step back and let God lead the way.’ ‘God has no office hours.’ ‘Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.’ ‘Let go let God.’ Are we like a lifeguard sleeping on the job while those in the turbulent sea of life are drowning, while people around us are going down for the count? Can I be a life-guider? We are co-creators in His service, in His image and likeness. We plant the seeds—the thoughts and feelings—we want to grow and bear fruit. I choose to plant the seeds our Father gives me, into the ground He has prepared for me. ‘The fruit of the Spirit consists in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.’ (Galatians 5:22) These are the seeds already planted within each of us. ‘It is the involutionary representation—the tree contained within the seed—of the evolutionary expression.’ I willingly take care of these plants. At harvest time I will gather their fruit and share with whomever You will, Father. Yes, I believe that God has no office hours, but I do. I pray that my work is not in vain because of my limited office hours. I am in radical training, seeking and finding proof of Your Presence within us all. Thy Love be done.
