Nine: my ‘Pay Forward’ gift is emotional. ‘Flatter
me, and I may not believe you. Criticise me, and I may not like you. Ignore me,
and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you’ (William
Arthur Ward). There so many ways we encourage one another in Alcoholics
Anonymous, starting with staying sober, showing up at meetings, sharing our
stories—we can all list the times we were encouraged. Today let us ‘accentuate
the positive and eliminate the negative’. Let our hearts and minds be filled
with the love we are. Our love is a healing power touching everything into
wholeness; our love is an extension of our Father’s love. Come let us inspire
each other to love more, to heal, to teach, and to forgive. Let us encourage
each other to accept our Father’s Love and His Will.
